Vix's final farewell doo. All the best

A great Friday saw a sad day as Vix moved on to pastures new. The night consisted of going to two shit bars followed by one amazing bar Moho (Northern Quarter, Manchester). I’m not sure many people actually remembered  Moho?

Enjoy drunkenly photo’s.

Good luck Vix!

Forth bridge, Edinburgh. Levels, sillouhette and gorillapod (on top of car)

After visiting Edinburgh a few weeks ago, me and Verity had a quick drive out to the Forth Bridge before the drive home. It's quite a spectacle. Is it me or do engineering wonders like this not happen anymore?

The car was just behind us so couldn't resist popping the gorillapod on the roof and taking a quick shot. Then i obviously level'd the hell out of it in photoshop and popped it on flickr. I need develop some new techniques in photoshop, I'm just a one trick pony.

I took a quick look on flickr for some more forth bridge photos, the results made me feel totally inadequate. Check them out they are amazing:

Excellent/ funny "Apple rules the mobile world" analagy (Diggnation #186)

I've been all over podcasts recently, signing up to some really useful feeds/ cast in iTunes. I never really got into 'digg nation' but yesterday i watched a full episode (#186). The full episodes are 40-50 minutes long, which is a big investment in time and they only got to talk about 6-8 diggs. Around digg discussions there is a lot of padding and toilet humor, which i actually liked (dam it).

iPhone Killer!? The episode includes discussions around the preview of the 'palm pre'. Start >> 6:00 minutes. Looks cool, this is relevant in the office right now as i seem to be the only one without an iPhone. I'm still on a sucky BlackBerry, which i like but i need to upgrade my model.

Funniest part of this episode was Alex Albrecht's comments on Apples domination of mobile. Start >> 12:00 - 13:00 minutes

Totally amazing gesture technology

Pattie Maes demos the Sixth Sense | Video on TED.com

This video was sent around the studio a couple of days ago, the tech is awesome. The user has a camera, projector, mirror, finger pointers and phone attached to them. By the use of simple gestures and finger movement, complex digital tasks can be carried out. Taking photo's, displaying information, drawing, image recognition.

There is definite value here, exciting!

Setting up posterous comms in outlook

I have tired to post communication from my Blackberry using one of my verified email addresses in my posterous account, but no joy. There may be an issue around how the Blackberry compiles and sends the email? Headers? I need to dig deeper.

I'm really liking www.posterous.com so far. It can be really helpful for people on the move, with little time, who are trying to operate over multiple digital channels.

Posting via Outlook is excellent, its great for saving time by re-using a core application, which is already open (as part of my day to day). Its one less login and one less application/ window to worry about.

Just need to sort out a mobile/ Blackberry option for when i am not in the office.
